Enhancing MRO with Digital Twin Efficiency
For over seven years, Zozio has been deploying Digital Twin technology for top industrial manufacturers across France and beyond through its software, ROBIN.
As a global leader in aviation services, Fokker Services Group is committed to adopt cutting-edge innovations for its international clients. In late 2024, they sought a high-precision tracking solution for tools and repair parts across five global facilities. Through Simac IT“s introduction, they found Zozio.
Our no-code software, ROBIN, enables real-time asset tracking with millimetric accuracy, helping shop floor operators and managers locate labeled assets instantly, improve supply chain efficiency and save time.
According to Fokker Services Group, “This initiative not only delivers immediate efficiencies but also provides unprecedented insights into operations. It creates a dynamic view of repair shop activities and optimizes resource allocation. The scalability of this model is critical for an industry facing talent and parts shortages.”
Building the Future of MRO operations
Digital twin technology is on the rise. McKinsey defines it as “a digital replica of a physical object, system or process, placed in a virtual environment.” Their market analysis predicts 60% of annual growth, reaching $73,5 billion by 2027.
With this potential in mind, Zozio and Fokker Services Group are co-developing a digital twin tailored for MRO.
Baudouin PIC, Customer Project Manager at Zozio, describes it as “an agile project built hand-in-hand with Fokker and closely aligned with real shop floor operations.”
At Fokker, Frank Wehnes, Head of Automation, Digitalization and Analytics, envisions a “virtual value chain to streamline maintenance processes.”
Shaping the Future of Maintenance with Innovation & IoT
To lead the future of maintenance, Zozio and Fokker Services Group are integrating Bluetooth AoA, Interactive, Location enabled ESLs (Electronic Shelf Labels) and ROBIN software to model complex factory processes in real-time. This enables faster decision-making, predictive insights and optimized workflows.
The partnership aims at bringing significant benefits to industrial manufacturers, including:
- Reducing lead times,
- Digitalizing manual processes to eliminate paperwork,
- Locating misplaced parts effortlessly,
- Automating inventory management for efficiency,
- Real-time alerts to prevent disruptions.
Zozio retrieves ERP data at refular intervals to update manufacturing order statuses, analyse lead times, and manage priority orders. Additionnaly, electronics tags enable quick asset searches, reducing time spent locating materials.
Real-time data is injected into ROBIN, using high-end solutions fully deployed and integrated by SIMAC, as Dave Engel describes: the magic is into letting all those innovative technologies working seamlessy together to feed ROBIN.
A Data-Driven Revolution for MRO
Digital Twin Technology is reshaping production tracking, scheduling and process optimization. By joining forces, Fokker Services Group and Zozio are setting new standards for efficient MRO operations. With Zozio’s high-quality data insights, manufacturers can drive continuous improvment and achieve better performances metrics.
This collaboration marks a major step forward in modernizing MRO operations, paving the way for smarter, data-driven maintenance management.
