What solution did L'Oréal choose to manage its tanks?

ZozioThe Zozio team

Start-up Zozio works with L'Oréal on stock and flow management in its factories in Vichy and La Roche-Posay.

Tech start-up Zozio, selected by Challenges among the 100 start-ups to invest in for 2021, announces the successful deployment of its stock & flow optimisation solution at its client L'Oréal, the world's leading beauty brand.

Deployed in 2020 across L'Oréal's two Cosmétique Active Production sites in Vichy and La Roche-Posay, Zozio's solution delivers technological expertise in flow optimisation and stock management.

The comprehensive solution for flow optimisation

L'Oréal's Cosmétique Active Production industrial sites engaged Zozio, the Paris-based start-up, with the goal of optimising flows within and in transit between its Vichy and La Roche-Posay facilities. In pursuit of operational excellence and in response to environmental challenges, L'Oréal chose Zozio to improve the logistics of its fixed and mobile tanks.

To meet Cosmétique Active Production's needs, Zozio deployed its solution to collect, visualise, and analyse field data connected to factory software data.

With all key information on a single, user-friendly platform, the client benefits from:

  • A reduction in raw material losses
  • End-to-end traceability with management of mobile and fixed tanks
  • Eco-responsible production through a reduced tank fleet and improved resource management
  • Increased performance

How does the solution work?

Zozio's team installs, within a matter of hours, an IoT system based on Ultra Wideband geolocation technology to retrieve information on the actual flows of industrial equipment.

The system then retrieves information from factory management software (ERP, WMS, etc.) to enrich its platform with the information the end user needs.

The platform thus gives employees a comprehensive view of production. With this clear visibility, Zozio enables stocks and flows to be optimised in real time.

The solution optimised for teams

Beyond flow optimisation, and through traceability within the factory, Zozio's solution also facilitates day-to-day work. Employees have immediate access to data on the status, location, and movement history of the tanks via the user-friendly platform.

A true digital companion, Zozio simplifies employees' working day on multiple levels: operators are freed from lengthy, repetitive tasks, whilst managers are assisted in their decision-making thanks to field information at their fingertips.

“With Zozio, the production assistant, the manufacturer and the packaging technician all gain a better quality of working life”

– Faustine Liabastre, Performance Manager at Cosmétique Active Production.

Indeed, the platform is very easy to use and “was adopted very smoothly by all colleagues at the two Cosmétique Active Production facilities in Vichy and La Roche-Posay”, adds Jean-Yves Larraufie, Managing Director of Cosmétique Active Production.

“We are delighted by the success of the digitalised management of manufacturing tanks at the Vichy and La Roche-Posay sites, and we thank L'Oréal for placing their trust in us. We are ready to support them at other industrial sites”, declares Bastien Triclot, CEO of Zozio.
